The pro's of Air Pal are many. Two people can easily transfer a patient with no bending, pulling, tugging, or pushing. It's less painful and more dignified for the patient (no bursts of tugging, no caregiver grunting), and extremely easy to slide patients. The con's are its noise. Also, it is not wise to leave it under the patient for long periods of time; this only impedes good skin care practices. Nurses love it. Patients like it too... but they would be happier if we could just keep it under them for the duration of their hospital stay.
